Montgomery County is a truly remarkable county located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,  of which Norristown is the county seat. Because of its rich history, the county is home to numerous points of historical interest, including Valley Forge National Historical Park. As one of the county’s most famous attractions, the park draws thousands of visitors each year, and is the place of the third winter encampment of George Washington's Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. The park was originally known as Valley Forge State Park but it became a National Historical Park in 1976. The park is comprised of 3,500 acres and contains recreational areas, memorials and museums. Not only is Montgomery County home to points of interest such as this, but you’ll also find wonderful employment opportunities here. Many residents of Montgomery County work in the city, although business centers like those found in Blue Bell, Fort Washington Horsham, Lansdale and King of Prussia, also attract workers from the surrounding areas of Pennsylvania. In fact, Forbes magazine has named Montgomery County the 9th best place in the country to raise a family.
