Home to over 28,000 residents, Upper Merion Township has a total area of 17.2 square miles and encompases King of Prussia, Swedeland, Swedesburg, Gulph Mills and part of Wayne. Situated approximately 16 miles from Philadelphia, Valley Forge National Historic Park is in the westernmost part of the township, and is a historical site comprised of approximately 1,300 acres.
